Confused!

In my lap on Tuesday I asked them to remove my coil. When I come round they said they could not find my coil so had booked me in for a scan which I did not end up having till Thursday morning!

When I had the scan which after having surgery on your tummy then having someone pressing and poking at it was very painful! She found it literally straight away! How can she find it but they could not in surgery?!?

So now my coil is still in and I am just left baffled?

Any ideas how they could not find it? Thanks
