What to eat and drink the day before my lap

Hi, can anyone recommend what to eat the day before my laproscopy. I have been given 2 x sachets of bowel laxatives, 1 to take at lunch and 1 at around 5pm. I cannot eat or drink from midnight onwards. However, what do I eat. I asked the nurse and she said something light, I asked for examples but she didn't give me any which is strange. Also what time should I last eat? If I'm taking a laxative at 5, should I eat something afterwards.

So I stuck to eating light food- soup n tea and biscuits . If ure taking a laxative it’s all going to come out anyway 😂

I wouldn’t eat much afterwards but have a drink . The sachets aren’t the best either .
