Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has had an experience with bowel endo. I’m 3 weeks post op after lap to diagnose / cauterize endo & remove endometrioma. After surgery gyno came to see me and showed me a picture of the lap ( I was completely out of it) so can’t remember a whole lot of what he said. I do remember him saying that as an incidental finding there is “something” on my left ovary to be removed but he couldn’t get to it as a portion of my sigmoid colon is wrapped completely around the left ovary. He wants an MRI in 4 weeks and then see him for a plan? Just wondering has anyone else had a similar experience and if so what did the surgery involve?
Thanks guys..I have found this forum to be invaluable to me.

I had a lap that found stage 4 on my bowel (sounds same as what you had). I’m currently still battling with the NHS to get surgery to remove it. If your gynae is already pushing for an MRI then stick with him - he’s a good ‘un. Nonetheless, surgery for bowel endo is multi-disciplinary so really you need to be at a BSGE centre- is that who you had your lap through?
Hi hikergirl, I’m in Ireland so we don’t have BSGE centers, but I went private and seen an endo specialist, he did say that he will discuss the MRI with bowel specialist before making a plan for surgery. The MRI is in 3 weeks so hopefully get some answers then! Hopefully you get sorted soon! 🤞🏻
