Back pain

Hi Ladies,

I've recently begun to really struggle with lower back pain. Normally I only get this if my abdominal pain is horrific, but now it seems to set in as and when it likes! I'm finding it super painful to lie down in bed (which sucks as bed is the only comfy place I have!) Does anyone else suffer from this and have any advice on how to ease it. My sleep is suffering - and I'm sure we all know how much that doesn't help our symptoms!

Thanks as always lovely warriors x

I get the same as you and I actually have it this am which started in bed. I have had another MRI as I have been getting new symptoms which includes back pain. I get results on Friday. I take naproxen currently. I can let you know advice I get from consultant on Friday.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you're suffering from the same issue - hopefully your results will come back clear :) that would be great thank you! If this continues I'm going back to the doctors.

Hi there, I have had back pain on and off over last 3 years. I currently take amitripyline 1 10mg tablet at night and it helps me to sleep. I also take naproxen when it's really bad. I find heat pads during the day are really helpful and hot water bottle when I go to bed. I feel for you. Not sleeping only makes things worse. I am stage 4 endo plus 2 large fibroid and waiting surgery following diagnostic laporoscopy 4 weeks ago. I would visit your go. Hope it improves.

I also suffer from lower back pain. As some other women said, a hot water bottle eases the pain.

Pilates helps with my lower back pain and seeing a physio privately for sports massage which is targeted for musculoskeletal problems. She knows about my endometriosis so is gentle on the painful area but its really helping me stay mobile.

A good tip for sleeping is put a pillow or cushion under your knees if you are flat on your back, or put it between your knees if on your side. It helps relieve the pressure and pain.
