I know this is a long shot, but I’m in the uk, and thinking about going private. And I know a lot of companies won’t cover “pre existing” conditions is anyone on private with endo and can recommend a company?

(I have had a lap and diagnosed)

I have health care with Bupa through work. I had had a lap and was diagnosed but bupa didn’t exclude my endo and I was able to see a specialist privately and had second surgery and treatment covered by my policy. I would call and check.

Hi I have to pay for my private consultations and treatment as they aren’t covered as it’s a pre-existing medical condition (23 years of endometriosis at the start of my moving to private). My husband negotiated a package cost with the consultant at our local hospital including a series of consultations, diagnostic tests and a laparoscopy. Although this was an add on to his work private healthcare. For me the cost was worth it as I wasn’t getting the consistency or treatment at our local NHS hospital and was suffering from a failed attempt to remove the endometriosis. I had looked at transferring to another with 120+ days to wait for an initial consultation. Good luck!

Hi ladies

I went private and had no health care. It really is worth your money. The treatment you get and the care you receive is amazing! I have never had to use the NHS thankfully but I know I would have been waiting years to be diagnosed and operated.

I went to the Surrey Park Clinic in Guilford for the initial consultation then had op in Nuffield next door. They are brilliant!

Well worth the money and lets face it, it is your health!

Good luck! X

If you can get it through your employer there’s more chance of it being included in your healthcare package.
