Just wondering if anyone else has the same fear as me. I’m currently on the pill. I take it continuously for 3 months then have a weeks break. But whenever it comes up to the break I’m so scared to come off the pill because I know how much more pain I’ll be in for the next 2 weeks

I know exactly how you feel as before my lap I was exactly the same! I just told myself that my body needed a clear out and a week wouldn’t last too long...
Have you had any sort of treatment for it? Or could you see if the doctors can give you better pain meds?
I know how you feel. I take 2 packa consecutively and then have a break and it is horrendous! I have very recently been to the GP and asked for the progesterone only pill. I’m having my lap in 8 days and they want ro insert the Mirena which I’m not comfortable with so asked my GP for the pill version.
It may be something to consoder. I haven’t started it yet as I finished my last tablet yesterday so need to have the break this week (😭😭😭) but the progesterone only pill doesn’t require breaks and stops your period happening!
Please don’t get the Mirena, listen to your intuition. I was forced into having it, thought it was amazing, and now am dealing with the ‘mirena crash’ after removal which at my lowest point had me suicidal and it’s also completely fluffed my hormones xx
Hi there - I take the progesterone only pill - cerelle for 6 months and cerazette for a year now - and unfortunately they haven't stopped my periods, albeit I don't get the pain I used to. So just bear in mind there is the risk you might have periods, as they don't work for everyone.
Hi, I also take the p.o.p. pill back to back so don't have periods. You should definitely ask if it's an option for you. I also have a mirena but although it stopped my symptoms for about 18months, they started to come back again.
