I had my surgery two months ago now to diagnose and remove my endometriosis. I’ve found that I am still getting intermittent pain but I’m worried that it’s because I’m paranoid it’s coming back. This was the first time I’ve had surgery so I’m struggling to know if it’s pain because of that or if it is Endometriosis again?

I know how you feel, I had the operation three months ago and still have all the symptoms and don’t feel any different/better. I know they couldn’t get all my endo in the op but I don’t know how fast it grows back or if I will always have these symptoms but if it’s not endo what is it?

Hey, your body takes around 3-4 months to heal internally so it may just be pains from recovery. Most gynaes say to wait 3 months after surgery before going back to tell them.

I have all the same period related pains but less pain during sex as they freed my ovary from its adhesions which apparently was causing that pain. My worst pain is just after my period when going to the toilet (1&2) is horrendously painful. That’s what I hoped it would fix and it’s done nothing.

At two months you are honestly still recovering! It can take quite awhile. Some pain is normal.
