I had my first laparoscopy today and my emotions feel all over the place. I was really really thankful I met with a gynaecologist who was on the ball and quick to diagnose and get the ball rolling. He removed endometriosis tissue from the womb, cysts/polyps and inserted the coil (had a full clear up!)
Can anyone recommend tips or advice to help me recover. I feel like I can get up and do the smallest thing then the wave of pain hits me and it knocks me! I also thought my pain threshold was pretty good before this!
Thank you and I look forward to being part of the support ♥️

Bless you, it's such an emotional time after surgery! ❤️ My advice - rest! Even the smallest things as you say will be so difficult. Have you got someone there with you? Depending on your medication/pain relief you could be drowsy unexpectedly so ideally have someone around to help you to the toilet etc. Seriously use this time for the next week or two to just do some serious relaxing, some people take weeks to months to recover properly and it can get quite uncomfortable as your wounds heal, Netflix and chill (literally) is all you want to be doing right now
