I had a further catch up with my specialist yesterday and as i'm still getting a lot of pain symptoms that haven't gotten any better after my second laparoscopy + coil. They have now recommended that the next step would be to go on Zoladex, I'm pretty weary about this drug as I've heard more bad things about it then good.
I would like some advise, if you are on Zoladex how have you found it? has it been worth going on to it? (good and bad experiences)
thank you

I had it for over a year. The first 3/4 injections made me feel ill for over a week - fatigue, stomach pains and anxiety. I was still getting a lot of bowel endo pains which didn’t ease until 6 months or so. Personally I was on HRT to and didn’t have too many issues other than hair loss, mood swings and weight gain. I didn’t think much of it at the time but I’m 6 weeks off and the pain is coming back & I feel overwhelmingly exhausted like before.
It personally showed me how I would feel after a hysterectomy and I feel easier going into the surgery now.
I am on the same injection and have been for a year and half you have got weight the pros and cons up . I am waiting for hysterectomy which has been a long wait also big waiting lists. I am HRT patches which have helped also . Good luck
Thank you both. I might try some alternative therapists first like acupuncture/osteopath and if these help then i will stick to them, if not i will make the decision to try Zoladex on a month by month trail. x
I have just had my second Zoladex jab, felt badly sick and dizzy that day however the following day it had passed. I am on it to prevent my cysts getting bigger before surgery after pretty rapid growth between 3 month Checks. I was reluctant.. my newly fitted coil is supposed to be doing this job but clearly isn’t.... My consultant said it should reduce pain, help during surgery and possibly even shrink them slightly. At the moment he doesn’t want them getting to double figures again, so faced with that I kind of felt the benefits outweighed any negatives. It’s for a short period of time / reversible once you stop taking & the night sweats etc are not too bad. Better than the pain.
