Hi... like you I have stage 4 endo with Adenomyosis. I had IVF with Create fertility, unsuccessfully I have to say but it's not in our control. I'm still contemplating having more IVF but he came recommended to me (after last IVF). But I would say do look at doing some healing treatments before starting, to help. I have recently spoken with a 'fertility coach', waiting to see her for help with endo/baby... but praying hard too!! Good luck x
I've never had my endo properly diagnosed (long story involving a general gynae) but i had a 7cm mass on my left ovary that led to the ovary and tube being taken out and at 37 going for ivf. I didn't have any further endo investigations etc due to my age and needing to get on with ivf.
Was successful first round with my daughter who is now 17 months. I did have a frozen embryo left over which we had transferred in Feb but didn't stick.
If you haven't, get your amh test done to measure egg reserve. Doesnt tell you quality but will tell you quantity of eggs.
Also we didn't know but in the ivf process we found we had male factors aswell. Would be a good idea to get the old swimmers tested just to check all is well.
I have stage 4 endo with endometriomas on both ovaries. 3 on the right - 2 of which are roughly 5cm in size, and 3/4 on the left, (I lose count after all my scans), of which the largest is almost 4cm.
I also have moderate to severe adenomyosis.
We’re not allowed to mention clinics by name in the forum so I’ll PM you but wanted to share my experience.
My endo consultant works with my IVF clinic. He is not my IVF doctor. However as they both work together, and seem to have a high level of respect for each other, if any issues arise he said he could be quickly linked in. I saw him a week before my first IVF appointment and was able to take his report showing my most up to date situation.
My IVF Doctor is excellent. She told me what supplements to take as endo affects egg quality, and she suggested we do embryo batching so they can all be collected together as I’m only going to get older and my egg quality wasn’t the best in my initial cycle (at a different clinic). Her aim wasn’t to get me Baby#1, but a chance at a family and future siblings. Because endo is often aggravated by stimulation, I’ll be having a frozen transfer. This I would really recommend you discuss with your doctor.
Between my final egg collection last week, and transfer (expected the third week of June), she’ll do a dummy transfer and start me on buserelin to calm my endometriosis down.
I think for me this is the best plan available. I was at a clinic before and it was all just wrong. They didn’t understand endo and their response was to go to donor eggs. I just wasn’t ready to take that route.
Let me know if you have questions. I’d be happy to help as I was asking these questions myself a few months back.
Hi, I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm wondering what supplements were recommended to you? I'm taking 200mg of ubiquinol a day, having read It starts with the egg, but I'm thinking about increasing it. Currently TTC naturally post lap.
My doctor recommended folic acid (I take the pregnacare pre-conception ones), CoQ10 300mg and omega three (sorry I can’t remember the dosage but I chose the vegetarian ones from Boots). She was adamant it had to be those exactly. She also had my iron levels, thyroid and vit D levels checked and would have told me to take something there too if needed.
On top of those three I take Royal Jelly and Bee Propopolis. She kinda rolled her eyes at these but didn’t stop me
My husband’s sperm is fine but she asked him to start on selenium and to stop taking whey protein as our embryo quality drops around day 3 so that’s also worth bearing in mind.
