Hello lovelies,

Just an update for anyone that's been following my story. I had my diagnostic laparoscopy yesterday lets it did not go smoothly!

So all the nurses & even my gyne kept asking if i was one of the girls from the 18th I kept saying no & was like what is going on? So apparently 2 girls went in on the 18th & were cancelled because the anethetist went home ill. Was very concerning that they didn't seem to know who these 2 girls where!!

Gyne came in for a chat beforehand he was pushing on putting a coil in. I hate coils with a passion they scare me i don't like them at all. Anyway i said if you find endometriosis I'll try having a coil so agreed but only if endometriosis was found.

Eventually got taken down anethetist couldn't get the canular in my hand so 3 holes later & he finally managed it. Went to sleep. Woke up & the first thing out of my mouth was did they find anything? Nurse said no everything's normal. I asked where my gyne is oh he's gone home!! So i said well did he put the coil in? The nurse said yes!!! So i freaked out i was raging. Told them to get me back to the ward & get me home.

Went back to the ward & the nurse looking after me was brill she calmed me down. But we don't know what type of coil he's put in, we don't know where he checked, if anything was inflamed we don't know anything other that he didn't find endometriosis!! He didn't even do a sick note the nurse had to get another doctor to do it!

Whilst i was waiting to get out i rang my husband to find out his auntie had died just to top it all off!!

Nurse has told me to push on the gp as now after 5 years we've narrowed ot down to either interstitial cystitis, ibs or Crohn's disease or a mixture of those.

I'm glad it's not endometriosis but the gynecologists attitude was awful & I now have to get the coil taken out which will be so painful with my symptoms! The nurse looking after me made me put a complaint in about him so i assume this isn't a first instance!

Sorry for the long story haha! Hope you all have fabulous pain free days!

So sorry that you had an awful experience yesterday. The nurse seems to have been good and looked after you. Big hugs 🤗 x

Oh NO he didn't! That's so disrespectful and your nurse was absolutely right about complaining. Your body, your wishes which need to be listened to and honoured. I suspect he won't be in his job long with an attitude like that. Surgical skill means nothing if you can't be basically respectful to the people you're helping.

I hope you're bearing up and your husband is okay. At least you do know now that it's not endo so as you say you've narrowed it down. So sorry it didn't go better and I wish you speedy recovery.

Yeah I was absolutely fuming & I don't know why he's done it because I didn't get to speak to him he just went home!! I'd imagine there must be a logical reason for putting it in but if he didn't find anything gyne related wrong then why would he put a coil in. All very confusing I'll be getting on to my gp when I'm able to walk there & will ask them.

Thank you! :)
