Prostap injections

Hey..

Quick question really.. I just wanted to know if anyone has had the wrong dose of this given to them? For example I have had my consultant call me to tell me that In February I had the three monthly (meant to be the monthly) and then the monthly in March so now I have had too much essentially.

Has anyone else had this and experienced severe side effects?

Hey,

I havent been given the wrong dose by accident. However, my consultant did give me 3 monthly prostap and then 2 weeks later a monthly dose of zoladex. The two are the same drug so pretty much the same situation as yourself. I had this as he didnt think the prostap was working. But I didnt get any real bad side effects.

Have you had severe side effects? Does your consultant know that you had both??? Maybe call his secretary and ask for their opinion? Xxx

I didn’t realise they had done it, my consultant rang me to let me know that they had done it by mistake and to just monitor side effects for the time being. They’ve cancelled the dosage for this month and I can have it again in May.

I have been having some pretty bad side effects, but I’m also taking HRT to help.

It just freaked me out a bit! I’ve been hospitalised twice this year already so I guess I don’t want to end up back there.

I’m glad someone else has had an extra dose. I’m not as worried now xo

Ahhh that makes sense. Although how a consultant and hospital can do that surprises me. But after my most recent admission doesnt shock me.
