Is there a connection?

Hello ladies!

Is there any possible connection between the bowel endometriosis and having a stabbing pain in the stomach? (Especially after eating)

Many thanks xx

That’s something I’ve been wondering about. My body is accepting very little food at the moment so I’m mostly stuck to beans on toast it seems and I get horrible stabbing pains in my stomach before needing to find a loo - it’s awful when I’m at work! ☹️

Sorry to hear you're having the same trouble :(

Going to call my gynae and ask her about it. Hope she gives me some answers.

Take care Lofty xx

It is possible you have an irritated stomach. Stress can cause that, but it might be part of IBS symptoms that often go along with bowel endo from own experience. Calling your gynae sounds like the best plan.

Hope you get a good and swift reply.

Did you get through to your gynae then? Hope it eases off.

Yep, she just called me and said this stomach pain might be because of I take ibuprofen every day.

So she prescribed me a medicine to protect my stomach.

Thank you for asking :) xx

Oh, I can relate, didn't even think to ask about your painkillers. I am glad you got a helpful answer. I used to take Naproxen and Mefenamic Acid tablets for pain...after my major surgery it is just co-codamol and ibu these days, but both upset the stomach now, probably due to the others and their impact. Lansoprazole for the win. Feel better!
