How long till period to return after prostap?

Hi i started prostap injections in October i had the injection monthly i had my last injection in January. I just wanted to know how long does it take for periods to return.

I'm in the same boat, I still had periods when having the injections but since they've stopped I haven't had one now for about 7 weeks. I'd be interested if you get any responses xx

hi. I had prostap for 6 months after surgery for stage 4 deep infiltrated endometriosis and a full frozen pelvis. My specialist said my cycles should resume in 10 - 16 weeks. It was 10 weeks to the day of the last injection and was virtually pain free 😊. Hope you find it ok. Xx

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm on week 8 so maybe only a few weeks left. I've got my next laparoscopy in 2 and half weeks so hopefully it won't come on that week, that would be just my luck! Could I ask, did your consultant say that your adhesions and regrowth stopped or slowed after your op because you had the injections? I had them monthly for 3 months from September to December to calm things before surgery, but my periods didn't stop until nearly 4 weeks after my 3rd injection. I didn't have a very good experience on them but I wondering if I should try again post surgery?

hi. Hope you're ok. Yes I had the prostap afterwards to stop regrowth whilst I recovered, they hadn't realised how extensive my endometriosis was so I had no time to research the specialist just said it'll be back within a month if I didn't have it. I was lucky to have only the odd hot flush on it. I didn't have any hrt as we wanted to do ivf afterwards. Do you know what stage you have? Xx
