Laparoscopy - advise?!
Hey!
Seriously it's nothing to worry about! I was like you, I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, I wish I listened to everyone who told me no to panic as it really was nothing! I had mine done in October..I went down at 9.30am the staff were lovely, last thing I remember was laughing, then waking up in recovery! I was home by 12pm.
If I have to have another one, I know now that I'm not going to be sat there feeling sick, and rocking like a loon sat on the bed waiting! Please believe me, it's normally to feel nervous, but it really is nothing to what you've made up in your head.
Take it from a fellow endo sufferer and health anxiety ridden nut case, you will be fine! xx
I had a laparoscopy two weeks ago on Monday coming up. To be completely honest it was hard for me. I am a hard stick for them to get the iv in so that made me panic. They used a machine to find a good vein. After that everything was alright. I had surgery around 5:40 and it’s was almost 8 when I came out and bean to come to. When I was waking up my mouth was covered in white stuff. I guess from the oxygen tube down my throat (which will be sore as hell for about 3-4 days). I was admitted overnight since it was really late. The pain was unbearable to me. My tolerance is low for pain. Your pelvic are will be sore for a week and a few days. Just make sure to take it easy. I remember me walking all through the halls like I didn’t even have surgery a few hours ago. Walking helps you recover faster. I had terrible insomnia for a few days and even some now. But, I am glad my doctor was able to do the surgery. She found that it was a small cyst on top of the big one. Good luck !
