Post surgery, HRT and IUD rant!

Hey, few questions!

I posted a while back but since then I have had surgery and after 11 years finally been diagnosed with endo. He said it was extensive and thankfully got rid of it all, I had a follow up the week after and he said everything was as expected. He then mentioned that if the pain doesn’t go in 6 months then I’ll have to have menopause induced for 6 months with HRT, I was wondering what people’s experiences were of this? This hasn’t been mentioned before and feel like surgery gave me a diagnoses, told me the next problem that might happen and then been left. I’m also four weeks post op and still having pretty much daily pain. Is this normal? Another thing (sorry!!) they put the iud in post surgery, don’t know when/if I’m gonna come on and super anxious about that. Advice?!
