Follicle cyst
Follicles form on your ovary naturally each month as part of your cycle and burst to release an egg. Sometimes one will continue to grow and form a cyst. Sometimes they are referred to as simple cysts. I've had a few before. I was told that when they go over 5cm they remove then surgically. If under that they often do a 'watch and wait' following up with another ultrasound. That's what happened with my first one. It eventually shrunk. I've also had one burst (super painful) didn't know it was there so no idea how big it was.
The pain takes over your whole body, you double up. I wanted to sit in the street in a really dodgy part of the city. ..I staggered into work eventually threw up in the toilet and then the pain lessened. I did have lots of pain with my first cyst around my period but I also had an as yet undiagnosed deep endo in that area as well. What tests have you had done?
I’ve had scans my last scan showed a follicale cyst that was over year ago all the man said was should disspear after few periods he said something about free fluid in pelvic so wether that time it burst I don’t know but I was up a thinking I had appendix as pain was right side at first but now I think I had same pain had no more tests agian people say it could be endometriosis but not had no diagnosis yet as really scared to have a operation I know I’m really silly and should as pain is so bad I’m thtinkig of trying Cannabidiol oil today it’s like I’m on a period with nausea but not on yet what test u had done how u know u got endo x
My pain was repeated blamed on cyst's and cyst ruptures. I also would get free fluid noted on ultrasounds. This can be caused by inflammation. I was diagnosed through a laparoscopy with a specialist. I was misdiagnosed with appendicitis previously but a CT scan showed a normal appendix. I have predominantly right sided pain.
I'd get yourself to a specialist. Sometimes they can see deep endo on a contrast MRI. But it's best to find out exactly what's wrong when the pain and nausea is that bad. Trust me knowing what is wrong is a massive relief mentally. All the best with getting a diagnosis!
