Endometriosis and ivf

Hi,

I was after some advice if possible. I am 32 and recently had a diagnosis of endometrioma causing subfertilty. Ttc for 2.25 years. I had the 8 cm endometrioma removed from left ovary last week and during the laparoscopy they found that the right ovary had adhesions to the right pelvic wall and colon and that the right fallopian tube was buried between the ovary and the colon. Also the left tube was buried under the left ovary and had adhesions to the colon.

They said the endometriosis is inactive and I have been referred for IVF.

Just wondering if this is just mild endometriosis and whether there will be any further delay in IVF and if there is a lower chance of IVF being successful with the above?

Your experience/thoughts would be most appreciated. Xx

Hi I know lots of women have success with IVF and endo. There are lots of previous posts on this. I would post your question in the fertility forum to be honest and you may get more responses. I’m

Just about to start IVF with severe endometriosis although I had it all cut out. I would recommend you having it all cut out if you can but others may be able to advise better on that. I also don’t know if it’s mild or not. Perhaps try and get a better idea from your consultant? Sorry I’ve not been all that much help. Best of luck to you xxx

Hey it sounds like u have severe endo, an Endometrioma as well as having ur ovary etc stuck is an indication of this.

I was diagnosed with this 3yrs aho, we also got referred to a fertility clinic and went ahead with a cycle of ivf which unfortunately failed. We conceived naturally after almost 3yrs of trying as well as with me having an 8cm Endometrioma on my

Ovary and endo on my bowel so it can happen... each case is different to each individual as there r other factors that can affect success rate. If you have the chance to have endo removed etc before ivf the. I would do that to give yourself a better chance. X
