Hello I had a laparascopy and cystoscopy on Saturday. I have been diagnosed with endo and interstitial cystitis. He removed some endo and gave me a bladder stretch. I’m When discussing with the surgeon very briefly after he said the disease is all over my pelvic region and I would need a second operation. I asked if it would affect fertility and he said no my womb, tubes and ovaries were absolutely fine and unless there is a problem with the egg or sperm we shouldn’t have any trouble conceiving. This was a relief but I have gone away feeling confused. Where exactly is the endometriosis?

Hi, I hope you’re recovering well. Endo doesn’t only appear on your reproductive organs, I don’t know what is the case for you but it could be anywhere else in your pelvis for example your pelvic sidewalls, ligaments, pouch of Douglas and many more areas, I would say contact your surgeons secretary and ask them the location of your endo and they should be able to tell you or find out and get back to you. Hope this helps x
