I had prostap injection every 4 weeks for just 4 months. My last one was Oct. I still have not had a period. It’s been 13 weeks now and still no sign. Anyone had this? My last course was for 6 months and period returned after 7 weeks x

Period after prostap
Hi, I had 5 x monthly prostap injections, last one was mid Sept and just had a first period of sorts this weekend. Not as heavy on the cramping and clotting as usual but increased bowel and bladder pain. (First laparoscopy yesterday showed endo in POD and on pelvic walls.) Good luck with your return of periods and hope its not too bad when it does arrive x
My period after first lot of injections was horrendous. Glad yours wasn’t too bad. Hoping mine won’t be bad. It’s just the not knowing when it will come that is frustrations me. Hope you are recovering well after the lap, take it easy x
Thank you, just getting my head around it all! Indeed the not knowing to be able to brace yourself is hard isn't it? I was certain about 5 different times over December that I was on the brink of it breaking loose. Don't get me wrong I was still in bed all weekend pretty much and feeling like my insides were going to fall out when I did try to get up, but slightly lighter and less like I was beside myself with it. You take it easy if you can too x
I was hoping it would come over the Xmas break as at least then I wouldn’t need to call in sick with work. I have been lucky before and it was a weekend so I could stay at home. I think maybe it’s different this time as I was taking hrt and maybe that’s why it’s slower coming back. Before my first lap I didn’t know about endo. Woke up and they informed me of the findings and I was like what the hell is that. Then it went down hill ever since. That was 7 years ago. Just got to wait for 3rd lap and then I’m done. No more after that. I don’t think my belly button will survive it 😬
The joys. At least now you’ve had answers, I know it’s scary but all the pain isn’t in your head. I hope it works for you x
