Hi ladies, this is my first post even though I follow and read many posts. I had an operation to detach my right tube last year by laparoskopy. And after the lap I had a shock. My uterus and bowels were stuck toghether and also all of them were stuck to omentum and douglas. Besides my ovarians are stuck to each other and also to uterus behind the uterus. Now I’m trying to conceive by IVF. Three unsuccessful IVF done. I intend to try the fourth cycle of IVF. But now my big concern is will I have a so much painful during pregnancy because of these adhesions. I have some anxiety about that. I’m really looking for positive stories. Sooo much thanks for your answers.

Pregnancy with adhesions
Hi, I had almost the same as you, endo bowel, overies and bladder which was removed and then uterus which couldn’t be removed. I’m 18 weeks now.
I’m afraid I can’t offer you much in way of a positive story- there is pain, quite abit in first trimester and then it settled down for a few weeks and seems to be starting again. It isn’t as bad as pure endo pain.
The midwife told me to accept that this is how it is for me, and to rest when I can- once I stopped fighting it and trying to carry on as normal, going to lie down when it hurt etc life for a lot easier!
Hi @Sausage11. Wish a happy pregnancy you. My surgeon didn’t want to ease the adhesions due to the bowel perforation etc risks. So they remain as a mass. On the other side he didn’t find endo but said there may be. And added may be I had a pelvic infection which I didn’t notice. I see your adhesions are relaxed before pregnancy, were they? And still feel pain Mine’s are still stuck
Hello Eminem,
I’m 37 weeks pregnant and my adhesions are causing some pain and discomfort, but living with Endo pain for so many years puts you in good position to manage it I think. There are pregnancy safe pain options your GP/Gynae can give you and things like warm baths or (as Sausage11 says) just resting when you need to and not trying to push yourself too much. And unlike your normal Endo pain (which is just pointless) you also know that any discomfort you have in pregnancy is all in a good cause.
