Ovary temp shut down still in pain

endometriosis ovarian cycsts and had a hysterectomy and one ovary removed after this I was still in pain the side where the ovary had been removed and over the years told it was ibs, appexdi tumour benign thank god and scar tissue! All have been removed however the pain still remains this is so frustrating and is made worse after intercourse and if examined via a internal scan when my other ovary is touched on the other side!!!!! My consultant now recommend I have my remaining ovary shut down which I had my first injection 3 weeks ago to do this however I’m still in pain has anyone else experienced this and how long did the pain last?? I feel like I’m at my wits end as going through a temp menapours too for the three months they shut the ovary down any advise would be appreciated
