24 hours of being in extreme pain 😥

Evening ladies

I get no warning and then I am in extreme pain all over my stomach area as well as down the front of my legs. Started my period 3 days ago. Took 2 codeine & 2 ibuprofen at tea time last night, it didn’t take much pain away. I managed to get to sleep but woke up in extreme pain in the early hours of this morning and took another 2 codeines. The only way to describe the pain is like its labour pain/throbbing/can’t get comfortable. My GP has seen me in this pain before & said it’s exactly like labour & last time I got morphine! Again this morning I woke up and vomited around 8 times.

I managed to get some relief today but the pain has now come back. I am getting this more frequently now when starting my period & I am still waiting on my laparoscopy.

It went through my mind to phone an ambulance last night as I can’t handle being in this amount of pain. One time I went to A&E and seen by a gynae who sent me home with the pill. It’s just not good enough now.

Anyone else go through this? Any tips?

It’s ruining my life 😪

Hi if you are still in agony this morning go to A & E and get help, they may admit you and do your laproscopy as an emergency. Good luck xxx

Hi!

I totally understand what you are going through. I was diagnosed with the condition 30 years ago. I have had two laparoscopys, various hormone treatments and the last seven years the mirena coil. The coil has been extremely effective but over the last year the pain has got worse. For the first time in years I ended up in A&E Tuesday after two days of extreme pain. Feeling quite depressed. Just to be told it’s because I’m now going through the menopause. Pain killers don’t seem to do anything. I find meditation for pain relief most effective as it helps you to relax. You tube is great for this. I make sure I do some kind of exercise even if I don’t want to. A walk, stretches or yoga. Nothing strenuous. Plus long baths, with relaxing music and lavender oil.

What ever works for you to help you relax will help you to manage the pain more efficiently.

I hope you get your op soon so they can help you with treatment. My condition definitely improved after both times. For me it has flared up every few years and they have to change my treatment but I have been able to manage it fairly pain free a lot of the time!

Good luck

Tracey
