I was on microgynon for 10 years until January 2017 then came off to TTC but was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in September 2018. I started pill again 27th October but feeling grumpy and grouchy. Anyone else had this??

Are you back on the same brand? I was on microgynon for about 8 years and I would get really weepy the day before my period and I put that down to my period, I was off it for two years and then was put onto Rigevidon. Despite being the same medication (they have the same doses of the same hormones) I had horrific mood swings and constant headahes on Rigevidon. I HATED it. For some reason Rigevidon hates me, but microgynon was mostly fine. I was taken off rigevidon and put onto dianette since I started developing really bad cystic acne and despite it being a less safe pill it's the one I've had the least number of side effects (and I really enjoy being on it because I don't get any side effects at all with it). Which makes me think the microgynon was what was making me so horribly emotional. It's defo worth having a chat with your doctor, there are like 30 brands of pill now, so I'm sure they will be able to find one that better suits you and has minimal side effects.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I'm on the same brand and have to take strips back to back so I don't have a period so endometriosis can't get any worse. I see doctor on Monday so I'll mention it.
