Advice on pain and support

Hi everyone, so I’m now 2 weeks post diagnostic laparoscopy where they diagnosed me with endometriosis. However, I was told that they only found a very small patch of endo.. I am struggling to understand why I am in so much pain and was in so much pain before my op when there was only a small amount found.

I have read on several other places that the pain you feel doesn’t necessarily correlate with how severe your endo is but I’m just so confused about it all!

I understand that I am only 2 weeks post op and I am still recovering internally but I was hoping that removing the endometriosis would at least reduce some of my pain!

They have put me on the mini-pill and I am due my first period in about a weeks time and I have read that your first period can be pretty horrendous! Any advice on coping with this would be great!

I have been discharged from the consultant and sent back to my doctor which I’m really frustrated at because I’m still in as much pain as I was before if not more!! I feel like I’ve been dropped and not understood. I feel like a burden on everyone around me and although I have tried to make them understand I know that no-one is going to truly understand unless they have been through it!

Sorry for the rant! Just feeling very low and confused the last couple days☹️any advice on coping with pain, helping other people to understand or just general support would be fantastic!
