Fertility results, TTC, lap?? Advice

Hi all,

Me and my husband had our appointment with the fertility doctor today to get our results, my scan resulted show 2 endometrioma one on each ovary, sizes. 2cm and one just under 3cm. These have been the same size for over 8 months now they have not grown in size, my HSG came back clear! My tubes are open - thank god 🙏🏼🙏🏼 However my husbands sperm results aren’t great. His sperm count has gone up to 12 million but morphology has gone down to 1% (previous result was 8 million and 2%) she said at the moment there is very little they can offer, she said she can do a lap to have a look inside and just get a better picture, as my tubes are open and the cysts aren’t great in size. Usually over 4cm they would operate but she said it’s borderline and up to me, I have been given time to think, she said I need to outweigh the pros and cons because surgery on the ovaries could cause damage. My husband currently smokes, around 5/10 a day, he needs to have given up for 6 months before IVF would even be an option. Has anyone been in a similar situation? And could give me some advice.

Hi- i wouldnt go for lap if ure not having any pain etc, you can still conceive with these cysts as i did and mine were 8cm!

I tried ivf aswell which failed.... there r lots ur husband can do to help his sperm by changing his diet, taking vitamins etc So maybe try that before a lap is done?
