Bloating!?

Hey!

Since having my lap on Tuesday I've been bloated which I expected..But can anyone tell me when it's likely to go down..As I'm looking like I'm 2-3 months pregnant..having to wear big baggy stuff to hide it at the moment..it's awful x

Hey there, hope it went ok. I had this done like 9 years ago and I was pretty much bloated for a week and felt awful. I personally still wasn't right at a week even. Hopefully in a few days you will start to feel better. But everyones' body is different and your reaction to the carbon dioxide is causing the bloating I assume anyway! Hope it is better soon! Nikki

Hey! Thanx for replying..it's awful..I've had to take Lactulose to help with other areas of having surgery aswell..Hopefully it will go down soon as normally I have a fairly flat belly! X

It took me up to a month plus for my bloat to completely go down. I looked really pregnant. I know that this will be uncomfortable, but walking a lot will help. You may not be able to stand up very upright yet or run up the stairs but you can still move around, try to load the washer, do the dishes, etc. After the 3rd week, you will be passing a lot of gas and by the 4th week, you will see a visible difference.

Hey, glad your lap went well! Unfortunately the bloating is very normal (after all, they pump you full of gas during the surgery) and it can last several weeks. I looked heavily pregnant for about a week or two and then just felt like I had eaten a giant bag of onions. After about 4 weeks everything was back to normal. I hope you are getting better soon, it's super annoying I know. All the best!
