I had my first lap done today..it went really well the team were amazing..from the nurses to the surgeon..They really made me feel relaxed and calm.. They talked to me while they put the sleep stuff in and the next thing I no I woke up in recovery! They found endo covering both my ovaries and womb-Had the Mirena Coil put in..hopefully it works! For anyone as scared and nervous as I was..please don't be and it really is nothing at all to stress about. Tbh the worst thing is now (waking up) the gas pain is horrendous.

hey, glad you're feeling good about it all I was just as nervous as you before my first lap too, it's understandable.
sorry to hear about the amount of endo though, hopefully the mirena will help with your symtoms. will they do any follow up treatment? the coil won't reduce the endo, it'll keep it dormant so you can get on with your life and feel human!
gas pain - peppermint tablets / capsules / tea, don't know why it works, it just does, and lots of women say it really helps.
now just chill and focus on your recovery, be patient and take it easy xx
I had my first Lap on Thursday and similar to you - endo found and treated and Mirena fitted. I found that drinking peppermint tea and laying down all the time seemed to do the trick with the gas pain - mine was gone within a few hours of leaving hospital.
I'm going to give the peppermint tea ago! Yeah I went down at 9am and was home by 12.30..I'm hoping the coil helps me..And I hope your getting on okay with yours x
Well no I think it depends how bad you have it! I mean mine was stage 3- in between ops 2 & 3 it has been 4 years and I have had two babies in that time which was amazing! But it can come back!! I can’t speak on behalf of everyone but mine deffo has! xx
