I had a monthly injection from February until end of June, 6 in total. I’ve not yet lost the weight I gained, but thankfully I only went up about a size and a half in clothes.
My skin got better toward the last injection and is miles better since, although I get spotty on my chest now and I never used to before but I’d take that over the oily spotty mess I was at the beginning of prostap. I’m still relatively pain free.
I was encouraged to take my pill as soon within 4 or 5 weeks of my last injection and I’ve had it back to back since. I’m gonna have a break over the next week so that I’ve got something to talk about in my follow up next month.
I just wondered if anyone else had a period this soon after? It’s been three months since the last injection. I know for me any bleeding would technically be a breakthrough bleed because I’m on the pill, but I’m still petrified of what is going to happen, getting ready to stock up on comfort food, pain meds and comfy knicks.
I had the injection 3 times over 3 months my last being 16 August. When I saw the consultant at the beginning of September he gave me Tibolone until I have my hysterectomy. This weekend I started with period pains though I don’t actually bleed as I had an ablation 18 months ago. Last night the sharp pains started 😢. So after my last injection I was pain free for 2 months. My operation is due anytime from the beginning of December. I had my pre op on Friday and was told the number of women on the cancellation list is high so chances of having it sooner are slim.

I’ve been relatively pain free since the first injection in a February and three months since the last injection end of June.
I haven’t had a period since February because I started taking my pill within weeks of the last injection, so I’m rather apprehensive to see what happens and what pain I get. Here’s hoping that it’s not too painful! And best of luck with your operation, so sorry that you have to go through this xxxx
