Anyone had experiences with hernias, particularly as a result of surgery?
In August 2017 I had a major op for bowel endo and was warned of a hernia through the wound etc.
The very first night I had extreme sharp right side pain (this was my 5th op and I knew something wasn’t right)
A month later I was hospitalised with a potential internal infection (and extreme constipation), I was there for two weeks taking picolax. they felt a lump on the right side, an ultrasound showed a shadow, they assumed it was infected tissue so sent me home with antibiotics.
Another month later I was hospitalised again with constipation and vomiting etc and again just more and more picolax.
I now take that at least every other day and the sharp right side pain has continued to impact my life. They are doing another op soon to see what it is.
What weird is that it goes away when I push in. Is it possible I’ve had a hernia this whole time and no one’s picked up on that?
