I'm a bit shocked to say the least but the gyno has ordered the surgery to see if there is endo. When he examined me and pushed on the "endo trigger points" I literally jumped in pain.

My question is what are the odds of the surgery coming up negative? I'm so used to everything coming back normal and having the curse of "it's just your fibro pain deal with it" I will seriously be distraught if this surgery is for nothing. Being my first I'm very nervous aswell. Don't know what to think 😔

Hey, surgeons don’t normally send you for surgery unless they think there’s something wrong as otherwise they will be wasting a lot of time and money etc.

I was like that before my lap but they found endo and a large cyst on my ovary. When the nurse told me in recovery, I was so happy to finally have answers plus I was very high from the drugs haha.

The surgery itself is nothing to worry about, being put to sleep was nice as I was so tired and hungry since you can’t eat. After I woke up, it does feel weird as it felt like time had just speeded up haha.

I was on very strong painkillers so I felt amazing for a couple days after surgery, everyone is different though. Once the drugs wore off, I couldn’t get out of bed for a week without being in a lot of pain.

If you have any questions or need advice, just give me a message xx

Hey thanks for replying. Yeah I thought so too but I can't help but worry it'll be all clear and I'm back at square 1. The anticipation is killing me already and I've still got up to 90day wait if not more.

Haha yeah I hope I'm not too drugged out it'd be nice to have some decent pain relief for a change thou I'm not Guna lie usually just grin and bare it. Thanks for reassuring me I appreciate it xx

I didn’t take any painkillers post surgery as I couldn’t be bothered going paying £20 for my prescription haha.

The gas pain is a bitch afterwards so just use a hot water bottle on your shoulders.

I was waiting about 9 months for my lap which was frustrating xxx

Hi I could have written this post myself. Have you had anymore tests such as MRI? I was in pain at certain points when I saw my gynae for the examination.

I have Adenomyosis (MRI diagnosed) and a chocolate cyst (gynae examination on the monitor).

I would like to think they will find something as they wouldn’t be sending us for this for no reason. Fingers crossed you get some answers.

Like you I am waiting for surgery. It’s a nightmare as we know it’s coming, but when?!!!!

x
