Hi Chloe,I had my HSG Test in June and to be honest it was very painful but that's probably because I had blocked tubes. So the guy doing the test tried to push the ink but it didn't have anywhere to go since I have distal block at the fimbriae ends. The comforting thing is the pain doesn't last long.Immediately they were done with the procedure,it took about 5mins for the pain to seize and I was able to go home by myself. After reading online,I had taken mefenamic acid and panadol advance prior to the procedure. When I got there, they still gave me an injection for pain but didn't explain what it was.So make sure you are given pain killers beforehand.Hopefully your tubes are open and you won't have to experience what i did.I tried taking serrapeptase but unfortunately I had adverse reactions like vomiting and diarrhoea so had to stop.I had read online it's excellent for unblocking tubes. All the best, let us know how it goes.
Hey thank you for replying. Lots of people have advised me to take painkillers a hour beforehand so I will defo do that. I had the same problems with Serrapeptase. I was fine for the first few days but after that I had terrible vomiting and stomach pains xx
