Newly diagnosed with endometriosis and PCOS. In need of some advice following my laparoscopy re medication.

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed last month with stage 1 endometriosis in my pelvis and around my appendix. I was also diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome and told I had a polyp in my womb as well. I had been having a lot of bowel issues for about a year but as I have a stomach condition (gastroparesis) I just put it down to that. Things gradually got worse and I had lots of tests under my gastroenterologist which all came back clear which was frustrating as I was in pain daily by this point! I then realised that the pain was worse the week before my period and also during so I went to see a gynaecologist. Straight away he said I had a polyp and PCOS as he could see this on the ultrasound. He also said it was very likely I also had endometriosis. I have now had a laparoscopy and endometriosis was found and removed. He has told me that it will grow back possibly in the next couple years and I could take medication to prevent this. He mentioned a combined pill but as I suffer with chronic migraines he said this wouldn't be a good idea. He advised a progesterone only pill would be best for me but could come with side effects like vaginal dryness. Another option is to leave things as they are and see what happens without medication. I really don't know what to do and feel a bit lost. I am already taking a lot of medication for migraines and my stomach condition, I don't really want to take any more. But I don't want to have to have surgery every few years either. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for this info. I will have to have a good think about my options. Its a lot to take in at the moment. Maybe I won't do anything for a while and see what happens.
