Hi there
I’ve been on Prostap since July 2017 ( with HRT) and it’s looking like a long term treatment for me as my endo isn’t all accessible by surgery. I’m 43 so conceiving is not on my agenda. In your case this may be different and you may want to ask how long they’re planning you being on it and whether they’re suggesting you take HRT or not? I was initially on Decapeptyl and the first injection was like a miracle. At the second injection a month later I started HRT and, while I know this is necessary, it seemed to reduce the effect of the injection on my endo symptoms. I don’t really have any side effects (now that my HRT dose is sorted) and I’m better on it than off it so, although it’s no longer miraculous, I’m staying on it. I hope it works well for you.
🙂
I was so reluctant to have them for 18 months then I finally gave in, partly because I felt I had no other option to try and also felt I needed to jump through the hoop to get another operation. I had them and I had the most amazing 8 ish weeks on them (it did take a couple of injection though), but I logged everything that happened and the consultant decided to operate and removed more endo.
Hope you come to a decision soon x
