What is the normal amount of blood loss during a period?
I’m quite heavy today and was curious.
I read it’s up to 16 teaspoons throughout the whole period - surely not?
I probably lose the equivalent of a large wine on day 2.

I'm not too sure about how much you are "supposed" to be loosing but i was told by my doctor that if you are bleeding through a pad or tampon with in an hour, that would be a cause for concern (:
Ok I mean, I’m not losing it all in one go it’s over the course of the day.
Tomorrow will be light and day 4 non existent. I don’t have any clotting and it’s vibrant red. However, I’m really not good with blood and it makes me feel quite yuk.
I’ve never been ‘normal’ so I don’t know what people should experience.

I’m not sure... on my very heavy days I can go through a jumbo tampon and a night time pad with in just over an hour or 2... that’s usually day 2 and 3, the rest of it is pretty “normal”... but my periods usually last 7-9 days. My doctor said that that’s a lot of blood to loose and a long time to be bleeding and has made me almost anemic.
Sorry if that’s TMI! But if your concerned with the amount your loosing, maybe tell your doctor ☺️
My periods are very heavy on day 2.My GP has prescribed me mefenamic acid and transexamic acid to take together on my worse day/s. It has really helped with the pain & has reduced my flow 👍 and is safe to take when TTC xoxo
Yea my doctor prescribed me mefenamic acid too, problem is it it can affect fertility if ttc - from what I’ve heard. It’s mainly day two and sometimes three that are heavy. They don’t usually last longer than four or five days xx
Snap tow bottle of win or more i do
I am all of the time is horrible fatigue x
