So I just had my letter in from the Gyno advising my estimated surgery date will be 22/10/2018. I then had to phone up and advise that I am on holiday 21-24th september, just in case.
The woman on the phone was so rude and dismissive. She straight away said that because i'm not available those dates (which is over 2 months away) that means they will take me off the cancellation period all the way til after those dates!! What is the point in that? Shes now saying I won't get my surgery until next year!
I can't deal with the waiting- this is completely unfair. Has anyone dealt with this before that can help? I honestly am in work and want to cry at the thought of putting up with the pain until next year. I don't see how they can't keep me on the cancellation list in august...

I’m so sorry you were spoken to rudely they sound my hospital where my endo centre is. 🤦🏽♀️
I would speak with your GP state all of your pain & symptoms and the impact it is having on you physically & mentally. Us ladies tend to play things down! DON’T! Get the GP to write to your specialist. I did this and got offered a date within 2.5 weeks of letter 😏Also go to PALS and state your case ; list all the pain & symptoms you are having state it’s getting worse. PALS are fantastic don’t be afraid to use them ; I used them recently as my follow up appointment was supposed to be within a month as my surgeon stated that in discharge details ; hospital mucked that up and PALS contacted his secretary who called me and offered me an appointment 22nd August to see him as he was busy and on holiday!
It’s sad but sometimes it’s a case of he who shouts loudest gets he who doesn’t gets ignored.
