An article about this came up on my Facebook feed through one of the endo Facebook pages I follow. From reading the article then some of the comments, it's basically just the lupron injection in pill form, and can potentially only be taken for a few months. As with any treatment, it works for some and not for others, but some women are quite vehement about it not being that good a thing, partly due to side effects I think.
That said, I haven't really looked into it in much detail as I haven't had time to.

Oh I had no idea either! I need to look up Lupron now. So sad there’s not much research into women’s health / endo
I have been offered this in the US. The side effects sound so awful I said no.
