has anybody taken part? Is there only one event in the UK? Is there any smaller events around the UK? I'm in the Northwest and would like to take part. Do you get sponsored? Really just looking for ideas, I need the exercise lol xx

Hi Xnanooksx

Yes I took part in the London March, We weren't sponsored it was more to raise awareness, but people could text to donate money also info fliers were handed out to the public on route.

I believe there were others in the Uk Scotland and Manchester if I recall .

There maybe more info on the Endometriosis Uk website, take a look on there , they have support groups in different areas.

it will happen again next year. 👍 More people the better.

😊

Me and hubby went to the manchester one yesterday. Think there was about 90-100 people there. hopefully more people attend next year, it's around the same time each year.

Not sure if it was the first one in Manchester as we finished the route an hour early, the route was given by the police and said it was supposed to take 2 hours. To be honest though I was pooped after walking around for 1 hour!

See if you can make the one next year and spread the word! X

I'm really starting to get interested in the fundraising aspect, it's on us to do what we've gotta do to survive. I've asked a couple of people if they'd be interested in joining me (no event decided it's still in the planning stages) do any of you guys do regular exercise? I live in the back of beyond (far away from the city centre) and I'm restricted on travel given my pain etc as I don't drive xx

I'd have done the Manchester one if I'd have known :( I'm only in Liverpool (Speke, just by the Runcorn Bridge and the Knowsley Expressway) it's about 25 mins on the train. In January next year I think we should start posting and asking other people on the forum to come if they can. I can't help but feel a bit responsible, it's like I need my voice heard and at the moment health professionals, the government, they can't ignore us forever if we make ourselves heard. Women and girls NEED to understand this disease. Until I found out I have it I'd never even heard the word Endometriosis. I think so many sufferers would benefit so much from meeting others in the same situation, we need to stick together and make a movement that can't be ignored if that makes sense xx
