Hi had my lap 2 weeks ago but today noticed my belly button is smelling and is really really sore is this normal?

Hi Nat21,

The same happened to me after my hysterectomy. After I'd showered on the mornings I kept my belly button very dry and used Savlon on it every day and eventually it got better.

But if it hadnt got better after a few days, I would have gone to the gp.

Thanks Annie! Going to go to the Drs because it's been just over 2 weeks and my belly button just isn't improving thanks for kind wishes x

Hmm, the soreness I can get behind as it took my bellybutton a good week to stop being painful. However, maybe ring your Docs for advice? If there is a smell there it could be a wee infection - I doubt it! But just in case go get it checked out.

You're already suffering enough with this damn endo, so don't let something else flair up with that too

Good luck lovely and dont worry, even if it is a wee infection a nice antibiotic will kick it quickly!

Thank you hun off to Drs today as it's been just over 2 weeks since lap and belly button I've had loads of problems with and just not improving x
