Perineum swelling/pain anyone?

Hi all. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this. Pain or swelling in the area between the anus/vagina. This is the second time/month in a row I have, I’m wondering if I should go and mention to the dr, thought I’d ask her e to see if anyone else has experienced. Not much online re this. It feels swollen/different to normal and when I pressed, all be it gently it’s left me aching between there and where I imagine my right ovary to be. I was already having abit of a flare too, as I think I’m ovulating, and I’ve had the usual pain/diarrhoea 😞 any help valued as ever, I’m just so sick of this 😭

Hello. I would definitely go and see your gp about this. In the meantime using ice in the swollen area which will help reduce swelling and pain. Wrap up some crushed ice in a damp tea towel and place it in the area until it goes numb. Xx

I've had this swelling!! I've had it for years and years and thought it was related haha. Was told I had dermatitis, then thrush, as it tends to be just one side that swells up (my right( and leaves my labia and that entire side right up to my butt really swollen and sore. All I've ever had to deal with it is an ice pack and hydrocortisone cream as I find I itch it and even in my sleep when I don't know I do! Would be worth a trip to the GP to see how they can treat it but you're not alone! x
