Bruised belly after lap
The area around my belly button was bruised for around 2 weeks after my lap. My belly was swollen for a long time. If the skin looks swollen/ red and feels hot to touch (hotter than normal) definitely see your GP.
I hope you have a speedy recovery.

hi, i had my lap last thursday the 28th june and my belly button is yellow and bruised too. it's completely normal
Hiya I’ve had three laps - the first one my stomach was massive and black for about a month, and then bruised yellow and purple but still massive for about six weeks after that... second one lots of swelling but no bruising at all (but same surgeon?!) and number three I had two weeks ago and I don’t have much swelling at all (they apparently didn’t use gas to inflate me this time?!) but I’ve got seven incisions - some with no bruising, some really black and badly bruised! The other ladies are right though, redness and heat might be infection so definitely get that checked out. Varying levels of bruising are however normal from what I have experienced!! xxxx wishing you a good recovery!!!
