Yeah I’ve had those symptoms before! I have the mirena coil so I don’t have a period every month but I still get the hormonal changes where my pain is a lot worse than normal. I get bad upper abdominal pain sometimes as well as really painful ribs whenever the pain is severe! Hope this helps xx

Thankyou for replying it’s horrible isn’t it like a dull achy feeling, gyny mentioned the coil to me because I’ve tried everything else but I don’t know if I fancy it I’ve seen a lot of posts where it’s made people symptoms worse xx

I have the mirena coil and I haven’t had any problems with it so far! 😊 I get the occasional break through bleeding but I have to admit I don’t think it has helped my pain but I haven’t had any horrible symptoms from it xxx

Hi Natalie

I’m following your post as recently I’ve also been getting pain in my upper abdomen which I have never had previously and I thought it was really odd! Quite comforting to know that two other ladies have this as well. Do you think it’s linked to endo?

Hey Amy thankyou for replying ☺️ Yeah on my last gyny app in January I was going through my symptoms with him and he asked me if I get upper abdominal pain I said yeah but not with every period. He thinks my Endo could have spread to bowel, so I think it is a symptom of Endo I’ve only ever had the rib pain once or twice before so was just curious to see if anyone else suffered the same hope this helps xx
