Am I going crazy!?

Having a bit of a melt down here, waiting on CT scan & CA125 blood test too.

Past couple of days I've been feeling very angry and very easily irritated to the point I'm actually lashing out! It's almost like a black out when it happens, like I'm not in control. Did anyone have this before they were diagnosed? I've had a swollen Abdomon for over 2 weeks now! I'm also wondering could this be a hormone imbalance due to the pill? Both my symptons kind of relate to endo or the imbalance etc. I don't know what to make of it all! 🤔

Hi. I’m not much help I’m afraid as this is new to me and going through the long lengthy motions :( but my friend mentioned that blood test to me. Do they do that at the drs or gynaecologist? I should have been at the drs Thursday next week but it’s been cancelled. I was going to bring it up. Thank you xx

GP can arrange CA125 test, but please see my reply below. The result can be 'raised' by all sorts of pelvic problems, so isn't particularly useful for diagnosis. If the level is significantly raised in the presence of an abdominal mass it could result in an urgent referral, as it did for me, but does not necessarily indicate a cancer, so please don't panic.

No it’s ok Hun my friend said it was how she got her diagnosis as her level was 100 I think she said when normal is around 35 so they referred her. I’ve had pelvic scans. They came back all clear thank fully on the cyst, ovarian etc front but obviously doesn’t detect endo. I’ll keep persevering with it all! Thank you x

I wish I knew. I’m assuming my drs off? Our surgery is just ridiculous. Well they can keep testing me for things until there’s nothing left to test for except endo! Hope they’re ready for me! Xx

I've messaged you. Please don't panic about the CA125 test. My levels were very high, and as a result I had an urgent referral to gynae oncology, but several CT and MRI scans later plus surgery it was confirmed as 'just' endometriosis. I got myself into a very dark place during these tests, but I don't know what I really could have done to avoid that. Some advice I've read since is that 'worry only makes you suffer twice'. Not sure if that helps, but if faced with similar again I'd like to think I'd manage my emotions better. Good luck, it sounds like doctors are being proactive.

Does that blood test detect endo do you know? All my bloods came back clear + ultrasound but I'm walking around like I've swallowed a football! I look like I'm 7 months pregnant! It's driving me mad not knowing! My periods are totally unbalanced too! Some months I have one some months I dont or I spot bleed in between or I'll have a heavy painful period! I'm begining to wonder if it's this or my pill (microgynon) that's maybe causing it! I did some research on it and some other women are in the exact same boat with the same symptoms!

I have very low mood and angry outbursts! It's just not me at all. I've been given floxetein for now and already it's helping with my mood swings! I'm so worried whatever is causing it they won't find it as already have clean blood count and apparently my women organs look as they should apart from I had gas! (Who doesn't)!?

All the doctors I've seen so far are totally baffled to what it is! Xx
