Before my first lap I got bad pain when walking. It would feel like a heavy, dragging ache very low that would get worse when I walked to the point I could hardly walk any distance. I would get that almost constantly, I know get it in the two weeks before my period. X
Yeah I’m having sharp pains in my right ovary but that’s just ovulation atm. But I constantly have a heavy achy feeling in my hips and back area, even when I’m just sitting down xx
I've had that pain in my left hip and travelling down my right thigh for 3 years now. MRI's showed there was nothing wring/damaged in my hip/thigh area.
I had an elective bilateral salpinectomy in January and they discovered then that I had some endometriosis and burnt it away. I also had the mirena coil fitted.
Since then I still have the hip/thigh pain and it does worsen when walking around. The pelvis/lower back/lower tummy paid gets worse the week of ovulation.
I find that a hot water bottle and ponstan forte helps me when at home. If I'm at work I literally sit massaging my thigh.
I am currently trialling a TENS machine when walking. I have tried it on my pelvis but yet to do so on my back.
A hot water bottle helps my back but because I am unable to hold one close to my pelvis now as for some reason the pain gets worse.
Do you know if you have endo in certain areas? My pelvis clearly can't deal with walking and that is due to severe endo in womb, on bladder etc and my back pain is due to endo on bowel, kidney etc.
They didn't know exactly why I was getting such bad back pain before the lap, then all became clear. My pelvis is much worse post op.
Can they do an MRI or laparoscopy? Ultrasounds don't tend to show endo adhesions unless deeply infiltrating. They only saw one patch of the worst endo on an ultrasound two weeks pre-op. It turned out to be everywhere.
The clicking/catching sensation sounds like it could be some form of arthritis or something else Joint related. X
