Hi, this is my first time posting. Just a little bit about myself. Around 4 years ago I was told my right fallopain tube was blocked with fluid so needed lap to remove it. For years I was telling my GP I was convinced I had endo but was constantly told I was wrong but in more polite words. In the end I changed my GP and years later I had a tarrot card reading and was told I had a blockage somewhere, so as i believe in stuff like that to a certain extent I went to my GP and asked for have some tests done which resulted in confirming my right fallopian tube was blocked, I then mentioned I thought I had endo anyway to try and make my story as short as possible the main reason for the tests is because my partner and I have been trying to conceive for over 9 years. Anyway I had the lap an it was confirmed I indeed did have endo but unfortunately there was nothing the doctor could do as it was too deep and surrounded by too many blood vessels. So around a year and half later I had another lap to remove the endo and when i came round the doctor told me they also had to separate adhesions. Fast forward a couple of years, convinced I couldnt conceive i gave up and my period was late! It was confirmed with a home pregnancy test I was indeed pregnant but infortunately miscarried. This was 2 years ago this month! In them 2 years we went back to gyneo and was told there was nothing more they could do for us. I asked about endo as Im worried it will come back and take my other fallopian tube, I was told its not a case of it coming back its a case of if and when it will spread! I was also told they wouldnt want to do another lapo as it will lower my chances of conceiving due to already having it twice! I voiced my concerns of basically if the endo has spread then if it’s spread to my fallopian tube then im not goin to conceive anyway! The reply was basically im in a catch 22 situation! That is no help to me at all! I have quite a few symptoms and I really dont know what to do! Suffer for 3-4 days of my period with bad pains, heavy flow, exhaustion, headaches, back pains, sharp pain that lasts only a couple of seconds in my rectum and vagina, really bad wind and bloating and abdominal pains. My question is if you was in my situation what would you do? I am now 31 with no children. My partner and I would really love to have a baby but after 9 years of trying to eventually conceive and miscarry pluss another 2 years trying since then and all these symptoms I am beginning to think it will never happen. Sorry for babbling on. Thank you.

Katie you can not give up. You need to force your gp to reffer you to ginekologist. I know how difficult is stay positive, but you need to fight.

Thank you for your reply. My gp will refer me back to my gyneocologist but the gyneocologist refuses to do anything else. I will ask my gp to refer me back and hopefully it will be a different gyneocologist. Thanks again for your reply x

I am going to speak to my GP and voice my concerns and ask to be refered to a different hospital. The only problem I have got is the hospital I have been under for over 10 year won’t pass my information over to another hospital, which is a pain but would be worth it if I got answers. Fingers crossed. Thank you again πŸ™‚

Hi 86Katie86,

Thank you for sharing your story and I am sorry to hear you are suffering.

Are you under the care of a BGSE centre? bsge.org.uk/centre/

I had a similar situation in that my gynea had tried all avenues and was told there was no longer anything they could do but I then asked my GP for a second opinion, which they did. It took time for the referal to go through but I did eventually get there and am now under the care of a great team.

You might find (if you are not already) joining one of support groups really helpful: endometriosis-uk.org/suppor....

Best Wishes,

Thank you for your reply. I have never heard of bsge but I will have a look. Thank you very much. My Gp is great and willing to refer me back to gyne but every time I go to gyne appointment they tell me the same thing. At the moment I cant get an appointment with my Gp as they are fully booked. Thank you for the support group link I will have a look. Really appreciate your reply and advice πŸ’•
