Laparoscopy today...!

Hello..

I’m so scared now. My Laparoscopy is at 5:30 today. I’m terrified. Had a very bad cold but feel better now. Scared... not even sure why.

Hugs xx Good luck. It will be ok, let us know how you get on. My tip is to get someone to write down what your told, you'll be fuzzy after the op and forget otherwise xx

Saw my consultant in the morning and he was able to remove both cysts in both ovaries plus he found some tissue next to bladder and womb and removed that too. Apparently this was small endo tissue. I’m happy with it all and relieved now. Have 3 holes in all.. xx

Aww. Big giant hug to you my dear. I can understand the horror. I guess your ordeal is over. Just take care of yourself and take it one day at a time. Don’t stress.

Thanks All. I hardly slept.. still in hospital as surgery was delayed! Been in this hospital since 11 am yesterday and only went for surgery at 6:30-7 pm!! In that wait I develop a horrible migraine and pain on left side of face (ear etc), from the cold I was trying still to recover from and probably the dehydration.. no eating or drinking from 8am. So they put me on painkillers drip but migraine was still there. What a horrible experience, just cos all that pain made me anxious that’s all... didn’t need it.

Anyway, apparently it all went well but bf was at the canteen while the nurses came to explain what they had removed and mum did not understand a word as she’s Italian! So I’m waiting to see my specialist in a bit and get some info about the surgery. I feel bowel pains and pain on left ovary mostly. Not sure if he drained it or managed to remove the cyst as it was large. We’ll see... I’m chained to this bed for another hour with electric sock compressors (can’t move legs really), a catheter and a liquids drip... It’s horrible not being able to move for all these hours but hey, they’re taking all precautions, which I shall not complain about I’ll update you later xx
