I got to the end of my tether this morning. My breasts are so sore, my head is foggy and I am exhausted and there's still at least 10 days before my period starts.
My eating is out of control. Today I am working on a 7 day healthy eating plan to try and heal.
I lost an ovary when I was 36 to endo, they blitzed some of it off while they were there, but I'm 43 now and I don't want to carry on with this horrendous PMT then 3 days of period agony.
Will diet really make a difference? Apologies as I'm feeling emotional today.
Many thanks

I feel you. I’ve had to change my diet which has helped to an extent. Try cut out red meats as a whole, diary products (replace your milk with soya) & takeaways. At first it will be difficult but give it a try and hopefully you might feel some results.
Thank you Mesha, I've started a diet plan yesterday, anti inflammatory I believe it's called. I'm wary of soya though as I've read it increases oestrogen, also my husband used to drink it a lot in the past and he ended up having a thyroidectomy, his thyoid became so overactive and I suspect the soya added to this problem. How long did it take to feel better MEsha? I feel so rough today. x
I usually get pains not only during my period but on a everyday basics. It’s decrease my pains slightly and I don’t depend of strong painkillers that much but no difference when I’m on my period to be honest. I’ll say it took me couple weeks to feel some changes. I feel terrible today aswell (I’m on my period). Hope that helped x
Although I am still struggling daily with my endo I do feel like diet has helped!
I switched to a plant based whole food diet, I drink almond milk and eat mainly organic food, no meat. I have found cutting out the processed food has helped. I’m also thinking about cutting out caffeine completely as I’ve heard that helps too! Good luck
I've got almond milk ordered, for now I had gluten free porridge made with water this morning. I started my plan yesterday and I didn;t feel hungry. The test will be when I'm at work Wed, Thurs, Fri. I walked yesterday and swam for half an hour. I'm forcing myself to go swimming again this lunchtime, it's a struggle as I just want to snooze. I'm not sleeping soundly so I'm tired all the time.
I'm pleased to have found a forum, I think I've just been struggling on for far too long but the last couple of periods have been really awful and the PMS, I really want to address this so that if possible, I can avoid surgery.
I've got 40 lengths in this afternoon Louby but I had to drag myself there. I had low, rumbling pains, like mild period pains already. Does a hysterectomy fix it once and for all?
If I go back under the knife, it's got to be a final answer for me.
Thank you for encouraging me to exercise, I know it will help. Day 2 of anti inflammatory eating and I am managing OK, hope I feel a difference sooner rather than later but I know I have to be patient.
I think a hysterectomy is supposed to get rid of it. I think if knew I definitely couldn’t have children, I’d seriiusly consider it! Good luck with your exercise and diet! 😀 x
I'm going on 44 and when I had my lap and lost the ovary in Jan 2011... the consultant was different on the day of the op, I had already had the pre med when she spoke to me and I said I know the ovary might need to come out and she got all worried because I haven;t got any children, I had to sign permission that they could take it. The pain I had was in my left side, but if it was the other side, I would have thought it was appendicitis - no way could I have coped.
I'm now 43 and have come to terms with my situation and have peace that I am childless. If it doesn't ease up with the diet, I will consider hysterectomy. I don't want cocktails of drugs and bis and bobs of surgery for the next 10 years.
