I have pain all month long, worsening at CD20 when I start spotting (actually more like light bleeding). This tends to reduce over the next 5-6 days and by the time it's the day before my proper period is due to start - (27 day cycle - the pain is nearly gone! This has happened for the last few months. Seems weird to have this pattern. Does anyone else experience it? (I then have only moderately bad period cramps. My issue is that I have pain all month long.)
(I had a lap positive for endo 10+ years ago but minimal symptoms. Constant pain 2.5 years ago but lap neg. Still in pain so booked in for another lap with endo specialist in 6 weeks.)
Is the letting up of pain BEFORE a period characteristic of endo?

I get this too. I have terrible pain from ovulation through to the start of my period then it disappears and I experience a short 4-5 day period with minimal cramping etc... however within 3 days of my period finishing I get the awful pain and other horrible symptoms back again. I'm really struggling with it, as experiencing new pain in the last 4 months... I've posted about query gallstones but I'm beginning to think it's more endo related seeing the pattern of pain in relation to my menstrual cycle the past 3 months.
Thanks for your reply Do you mean your pain stops when you get your period or before? I get two really low pain days before my period starts. So my pattern tends to be worst pain around CD20-25 then day 7-14. Best days 15-19.
My pain stops when I get my period, by that I mean the pains I get elsewhere other than my pelvic area. I still experience what I would describe as normal cramping but the constant horrible pains I have the rest of the time disappear and don't return until 2-3 days after my period ends.
