Endo, UTI or both?

Hi all,

I have been diagnosed with endometriosis, and was diagnosed nearly a year ago after a laparoscopy. I haven’t had too many problems until about 2 months ago when I started getting constant pelvic pain again, and a pain deep in my left hip.

I came on yesterday (9th Feb) after being nearly a week late (pretty normal now!) and my cramps have been painful but not excruciating. Tonight I’ve got UTI-like pains, such as the constant pressure/heaviness and sharp pains whenever I move or in certain sitting/laying positions. Whenever I go for a pee, I get sharp pains where to have to stop and wait a few seconds and then start again, and it’s even worse on bowel movements (sorry if this is all TMI!)... So now I’m confused as to whether it’s a UTI or just the endo? I’ve never known or heard of UTI affecting the bowels but I know that endo can affect both... I’m really confused and I’m really sore! 😔 I know I should probably see a Dr and I will as soon as I can.

Thank you for your help, answers and advice in advance - I really appreciate it.

I have not been diagnosed with Endo, am going through the motions of it currently. Just wanted to say I feel your pain! I also regularly get pressure/fullness/heavyness in bladder and have experienced sharp pains when urinating or havimg a bowel movement. I think it makes sense that there might be Endo on the bowel/bladder that would cause those symptoms. I wish you luck with a resolution! :)
