Hi

So I am now without a job and not sure where to turn.

Does anyone know if I'm entitled to claim benefits with endo?

My dad is under the impression that if I am unable to work I should be able to claim something but I've never had to. Always worked.

Now I'm worrying how I'm going to pay my bills or if I could lose my house.

All because of this damn condition 😢

hello I hope you are well it's a difficult one because you are unable to work due to endometriosis but it's not classed as a disability (which I think it should be) but you can make a claim for e.s.a you will have to get a sick note from your g.p first and send it to the d.w.p who deal with e.s.a and after a while you will be asked to go for a medical assessment and that's when you have to basically have to prove to the assessor that you are unable to work then you have to tell them how you are on a really really bad day which is probably most days like me and then depending on what the assessor tells the d.w.p will depend on whether you will carry on getting e.s.a if they turn you down you can ask for them to reconsider their decision and tell them why you don't agree with it failing that you can appeal which is what im currently going through 😔 it is a pain having to go through it all but if you get the outcome you want then in the end it's worth it I hope that helps you out sorry for going on lol xx

Hi

No, thank you I just don't know where to turn or what to do at the moment.

I have always worked and now this condition is controlling that at mo.

I don't know from one day to the next how I'll be.

Pain is every day. Some more severe than others.

Nothing I take helps ease the pain😢

I want to try and take back some control.

But don't know what options I have available.

Any advice is appreciated xx

I think you should if you can talk to your specialist or gp about what options there are for you tell them how you are on a daily basis and that you can't work anymore due to the pain im not sure if that would be of any help its really hard because you don't want this awful horrendous condition to take over your life but everyday it gets to you just that little bit more its hard to explain to people what it is if they don't know anything about Endo I really feel for you 💖 good luck with whatever you decide to do xx
